I read this quote today and it hit me so hard. Over the years of my soul following I have definitely lost the crowd and for a while it felt SO incredibly lonely. As hard as that feeling of solitude can be, I would rather live alone than live inauthentically. Many relationships have ended or taken a back seat, sometimes heartbreakingly so, because I’m unwilling to be chained down by the opinions of others. Suppressed truth feels like a giant caged bird inside waiting to break free.
But something beautiful has happened over the last couple years. I’ve met so many others who’ve been on the same journey, the people breaking away from the crowd, wanting to be set free too. Life feels so much more full when the people in your life see all of you and choose to love you still. Finding your soul tribe isn’t possible without the bearing of your soul.

Don’t be afraid to step away from the crowd to break yourself free. The first few steps are hard but the other side is so liberating and so good, friends.
